Exciting things are happening down at the Marina Metro Hotel in 2025.
The function room has been refurbished and the scarlet carpet and the black trims and paintwork work well with the subdued lighting to give the room a classy Moulin Rouge feel - and even the balcony has had a makeover with synthetic grass underfoot.
Everyone knows the Marina Metro and its Dockyard Restaurant is all about live music, good food and dancing, with a stunning location right by the waterside thrown in. This year they have widened their support for local talent and introduced two sets of music on a Friday night from 6.30pm to 8.30pm and again from 10pm until midnight. Great new singers include Richard Allo, Natasha Wilson and Mike Hutchings, and for those who like their music full on they have the Wici Band, Electrifire and the Dodgy Jammers.
They have also set up a new Dinner Club programme to bring overseas performers to their venue and to date they have booked Reggae Singer Matthew Allman for July and the Bee Gees Gold Tribute band for October. Follow their Facebook page for information or call 01534 724519 for tickets.
