Ketevan Kasrashvili, known as Katie, who was found dead near the La Haule slipway, has been described as a beautiful and pure person by her best friend, Stacey Camps.
The 30-year-old from Georgia was celebrating the Jersey International Air Display with Stacey and their friends at the Radisson Blu the day before she passed away.
Stacey mentioned that her friend was 'on top form' and spoke about the dress she wanted to wear to her wedding in April 2024.
"I had no suspicion whatsoever that she had any thoughts that her life was going to end soon.
I had no inkling that anything negative was going on in her life. She was talking about the future moving forward."
Katie left the group at 9pm, to which Stacey says she would never have thought that would be her last ever hug and last 'I love you my Georgian Beauty'.
Katie had plans to go on holiday at Christmas, to Stacey's wedding in Paphos in spring, and to stay in Jersey with her partner and friends.
The hard-working Georgian was in the hospitality industry and worked at the Pomme d'Or hotel.
She also had ambitions to work in New York and LA. Stacey says Katie was 'the best of the best' in her job, and there were more opportunities for her in the island.
"When she came to Jersey and met her partner. That's what made her want to stay here, to build a future with him.
I think she did want to venture out and do a bit more travelling and work in a few more hotels, but when she found her love in Jersey and her friends in Jersey, she then chose to make her life here."
A GoFundMe has been set up in memory of Katie to help her family with the funeral cost.
The Georgian government is covering repatriation costs, something her friends and family are very grateful for.
Stacey, Katie's partner and their friends are aiming to raise £5,000 to allow her family to grieve without the financial difficulty that comes with planning a funeral.
"She would do the same for me. I think it's really important that everyone pulls together at a time like this, it doesn't matter what age you are - 30, 60, 70 - it's a sad tragedy and it shouldn't have happened.
Anyone that loses a family member, it's really sad."
When asked if she had a message she wanted to say, Stacey said she'd like everyone to know that they shouldn't take life for granted.
"She was only 30, she had her whole life in front of her. Again, I don't think it matters how old you are, don't take anyone for granted and don't take life for granted in general. Youp just live every single day like it could be your last."
