Weather Further Delays Islander

Another low pressure system is set to cancel all of Condor's sailings tomorrow (21 October).

The vessel was due to enter service much earlier than expected at the start of the month, but that had to be pushed back as the firm was waiting on a piece of equipment.

The rescheduled date was this weekend, however, another low pressure system, following on from Storm Babet, is forecast to bring high winds and rough seas to the Channel.

Condor says winds in excess of 40 knots and waves of more than four metres are outside its safe operating limits.

The Islander will now make its maiden passenger voyage on Monday (23 Oct).
