The Christmas lights will go in St. Helier this week, signalling the start of the the festive season.
On Thursday (17 November) islanders are invited to welcome in the Christmas period with the lights switch-on in town.
The parade will begin at the Millennium Town Park from 6:30pm and make its way through town to the Royal Square where Father Christmas and two special helpers will turn on the lights.
Helen Langlois and Scarlette Camacho, Parish of St. Helier Senior and Junior Ambassadors, have been chosen to help launch the celebrations.
Entertainment will start in the square from 6:50pm and end at 7:10pm.
Father Christmas will then move on to Weighbridge Place where fireworks will start at 8pm.
Before the main event, there will be a Christmas Village near the Royal Yacht from 12pm which will feature live performances.
