Torrential Rain Causes Flash Flooding

There was widespread flooding, including outside Grand Marche in St Helier.

Torrential downpours caused flash flooding across Jersey during this morning's rush hour (3 November)

Jersey Met recorded almost 34 millimetres of rain before 7am.

Police dealt with multiple 999 calls to report impassable roads, and warned motorists to take extra care.

"The best advice we can give is to take care on the roads, reduce your speed, give yourself extra time getting to your destination and leave ample space between you and the vehicle in front of you."

Trinity school playground was flooded.
