Springfield Stadium Work Begins

Work has started to improve the supporter areas at Springfield Stadium.

It will make sure the ground is at the standard needed for Jersey Bulls to move up the leagues.

Fans will be able to watch the action from behind the goals.

Users of the stadium were told that the stadium would close from yesterday (14 February) to allow for the work to be done on time.

The end of March is the deadline set by the English FA.

But Jersey Bulls announced earlier this month that it can carry on playing home fixtures for the rest of this month.

The club says it's working hard with all parties to find solutions for the March matches.

The Assistant Minister with responsibility for sport, Deputy Hugh Raymond, has admitted to Channel 103 that mistakes were made with how the closure was dealt with.
