Police looking for owner of 'large brown dog' that bit child

Jersey Police are looking to identify the owner of a dog that bit a child in Long Beach car park.

It happened on Thursday 15 August at 10.30am.

The little boy was checked out in the hospital's Emergency department.  He sustained a small would to his upper thigh and did not require additional treatment. 

The owner of the dog is described as a a middle aged woman with short blonde hair that drives a small blue car.

She had two dogs with her at the time of the incident, which she recalled and put back in her car before driving off.

The dog that bit the small child is described as 'large' and 'brown'. 

Anyone who may have seen what happened is asked to contact Jersey Police on 612612 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
