Plat Douet Student Tests Positive For Coronavirus

A primary school student from Plat Douet has tested positive for Coronavirus.

The Department for Children, Young People, Education and Skills says parents have been informed, and children in the same class and after-school bubbles will have to self-isolate, with tests after five and eight days - if parents or carers agree.

The school will be disinfected over half-term and re-open as normal next week, following Public Health advice.

It's the fourth school in the island to confirm cases among pupils in recent weeks.

Two students at St John's School tested positive for coronavirus last week, following confirmed cases at St Michael's School and St Saviour's School.

A staff member at Le Rocquier School has also been diagnosed with COVID-19.
