More than 750 runners took to the roads from Jersey Hospice Care on Mont Cochon to the St Ouen Hospice Shop to raise money for the charity.

Everyone who took part managed to raise £60,000 in the individual and relay races.

The money goes towards the costs of running the palliative care service, which costs £16,500 a day.

Event organiser, Loraine Fulton says the event started as a way to help others achieve their running goals while she was doing her own fundraising for the London Marathon.

"It has now turned into a fantastic event that’s getting bigger and better every year.

"There’s something for everyone and the route is a great one for anyone attempting their first half-marathon distance."

150 people have already signed up for the 2025 Hospice 2 Hospice in March.

The charity hopes to hit the £200,000 mark and has introduced a new route for its fifth year.

A new 10km race has been planned for the next race, alongside the half marathon and two- and four-person relays.

There is also a slight change to the four-person relay with runners given the chance to race against corporate rivals to win the EY Corporate Cup.

Francis Malaspina, a Partner at EY in Jersey, says the 2024 race was a big success.

"We’re looking forward to the new festival feel at the finish line to thank everyone for their efforts."
