Mental Health Mural Pops Up In Town

Jersey Recovery College has put up a large canvas in town to allow islanders to express their emotions towards mental health.

The blank canvas is up in Charing Cross near Broad Street for passers-by to decorate using supplies offered by the charity.

Stencils will be available for those who are stuck with ideas, and the team will be there to guide islanders joining in.

CEO Beth Moore says creativity knows no bounds.

"Our charity works around the concept of opportunity, but I believe other mental health services are very similar.

"There are opportunities to connect to people, to learn new things, to acknowledge that none of us are  alone with our mental health struggles, there are other people who have gone through it, and there is help available."

Jersey Recovery College wants to hang the mural on its wall as a symbol it is an accepting place which appreciates everyone for who they are and everything they do.
