Police are investigating after a 47-year-old man was 'repeatedly punched in the face' on Queen Street in St Helier.

He's believed to have broken his nose during the attack on Saturday 5 October.

The victim was wearing a blue blazer at the time of the attack, which happened outside Vision Express at around 10pm.

The man who attacked him is said to be short, stocky and wearing a burgundy-coloured shirt.

Both men and their friends are thought to have been in the Up and Down bar shortly before it happened.

Jersey Police say several others also took part in the attack:

"A friend of the 47-year-old, wearing a grey shirt, got involved and was also punched to the head and face by associates of the initial assailant.

"Passers-by came to the assistance of the injured men, the man in the blue blazer is believed to have a broken nose, along with other injuries as a result of the assault."
