St Helier's lifeboat crew was called to action on a real rescue during the Jersey Boat Show.
The lifeboat station on the Albert Pier has been open to visitors during the three-day long maritime exhibition.
Members of the public who had been looking around the All-Weather boat were quickly moved off on Saturday, when the Coastguard called the RNLI into service.
It launched to a 46 foot sailing boat stuck on fishing gear south of Les Minquiers reef.
The crew cut the boat's propeller and rudder free from the lines and it continued on its way to France.
The ALB returned to St Helier and was made ready for its next service, and for more Boat Show visitors.
The Boat Show continues today ( 1 May) and is open 10am-5pm.
