A file of evidence from the collision between the Goodwill freight ship and L'Ecume II has been handed to the Law Officers' department, according to the Chief Minister.
L'Ecume II skipper Michael Michieli, and his crew Larry Simyunn and Jervis Baligat, all died in the incident.
In answer to a question from Deputy Montfort Tadier, Chief Minister Deputy Kristina Moore says it will take 'some time' to consider the evidence submitted because of the 'size and complexity' of the case.
It is also believed a similar file will be submitted to the Law Officers into the explosion at Haut Du Mont when 'expert reports' have been received and considered.
Deputy Moore says the investigation into the explosion is the 'largest and most complex' criminal probe in the islands history.
"The investigation relies on specialist technical and scientific off-island examinations and reporting by experts.
"These examinations and reports will provide the investigation team with the necessary evidence to progress the investigations to a conclusion."
Three people have been arrested and bailed as part of the investigation.
