Jersey Army Cadet Wins Lieutenant-Governor's Trophy

Cadet Corporal Jemimah Kalule was declared the winner of the prestigious cadets competition hosted by the Rotary Club de la Manche.

Four Cadets from the Island Cadet Forces were given the opportunity to present to Jersey's Lieutenant-Governor Vice Admiral Jerry Kyd CBE and Rotary members.

The Cadets discussed their experiences of being a Cadet, their goals and future aspirations.

The trophy and a £1000 cheque was awarded to Cadet Corporal Jemimah Kalule of the Jersey Army Cadet Force after deliberation by the attendees and His Excellency.

The Lieutenant-Governor has thanked the Rotary Club for hosting the event and the Cadets for taking part in the competition.

Darren Blake - on behalf of Rock2Recovery - was also presented with a cheque to support the work the charity carries out.
