Island Games Day 3: More Medals For Jersey

Jersey won five more golds on Day 3 of the NatWest Island Games in Gibraltar.

They came in the shooting, the swimming, and on the track.

Team Jersey flagbearer Peter Irving topped the podium in the 110m hurdles.

Harry Shalamon won his third gold in the 100 metre Butterfly, while Gemma Atherley claimed gold in the 200m Individual Medley.

At the range, Toby Baillon and Cameron Pirouet took first place in the Smallbore Rifle, and Mark Dubras and Ben Videgrain in the Team Revolver, while Mark Dubras also got individual gold.

Elsewhere, there was a silver in the table tennis where Jersey lost 4-2 to rivals Guernsey, and Charles Tromans claimed bronze in the Men's 100kg Judo.

It was a Jersey 2-3 in the Discus, with Nathan Thomas taking silver and Cameron Campbell bronze.

And in cycling, Florence Cox (pictured below) finished second in the Women's Individual Time Trail, with the Jersey Women's Team finishing in silver position overall.

Team Jersey sits second in the medals table going into today's action, with 15 gold, 16 silver and 16 bronze.

Isle of Man are top, the Faroe Islands third and Guernsey fourth.
