Serena Guthrie says leading out England at this year's Netball World Cup has been 'a true honour', after helping the Roses to a bronze medal.
The Jersey-born centre captained the Roses throughout the tournament, which ended with a 58-42 victory over South Africa in the third-place play-off.
England only lost three quarters in Liverpool, but they all came at once to cost the hosts a place in the final.
Their conquerors New Zealand were the eventual winners, beating Australia by a single goal.
Posting on Instagram, Guthrie paid tribute to the support over the last week.
Head Coach Tracey Neville has stepped down for a break after 20 years as a player and coach.
