Greve de Lecq Seaside Cafe car park reopens for Easter

The cafe car park is reopening today, giving islanders more access to the popular beach this bank holiday weekend.

The National Trust for Jersey has leaned and cleared the area and has installed new signs pointing visitors toward the bay in northeast St Ouen.

Opening the car park is the first step in the plans for the Seaside Cafe site, which the States Assembly recently bought and gifted to the charity.

The charity does not have access to the cafe yet, although plans have been drawn up for how it could look.

The Trust wants people to give it feedback, comments and suggestions on the Seaside Cafe site, including ideas for what could be done with the buildings, car park and the surrounding space for when the bay gets at its busiest after June during the Summer holiday.

Islanders can also join a walk on Sunday around Greve de Lecq, exploring different heritage sites, including the bay's military history.

People interested in the walk are meeting at the tower in the top car park at 4:30 pm.
