EasyJet Cuts Some Winter Flights

Easyjet says it has cut some Jersey flights from its winter schedule to take a 'prudent approach' where demand is lower.

Among services that have been withdrawn or rescheduled are midweek fights to Liverpool.

"Like all airlines, we always review our schedule at this time of year and make some changes to ensure we take a prudent approach over the winter where demand for flying is lower. "

A spokesperson for the airline has told Channel 103 customers whose flights are affected are being informed and re-booked or offered a refund.

"easyJet has more than a quarter of a million seats on sale to and from Jersey for this winter up almost 20% versus the same time last year and over the peak periods like October half term and Christmas we will be at pre-pandemic levels of flying."

Several islanders affected by the cancellations have commented on social media that they have been re-routed to Manchester.

Services between Jersey and Glasgow will end on 30 October, until 20 December.

There will then only be services on 20, 24, 27 and 31 December, none in January, and the schedule will resume on 7 February.

Last month British Airways announced a reduction in Jersey-Heathrow services as part of a wider review of its winter schedule.
