Election candidates have called out vandals who have been targeting posters placed around the island over the last few days.
They have been going up since the full list of 93 candidates was announced and formal campaigning began last Wednesday.
Both political parties and independent candidates have been targeted.
Senator Sam Mézec, the leader of Reform Jersey, posted on social media to express his disappointment:
Disappointed to see quite a few election posters already been vandalised after only being up for a few days.

By all means, ignore the election if it's not your thing, but please don't destroy the efforts of those working hard on their campaigns, irrespective of their politics.
He says several posters removed appear to have been deliberately cut down with wire cutters.
Mary O'Keeffe, one of the candidates standing for the Jersey Alliance, also had some of her posters vandalised:
That’s awful 😞 I saw this on my way home… sad to see such vandalism so soon after them going up. Will be putting mine high! pic.twitter.com/5jl7NcciNU

A spokesperson for the States of Jersey Police said none of the incidents have been reported to them.
