A new bilingual pre-school is due to open in Jersey next year.
Up to 40 children between the ages of two and five-years-old will divide their time between learning in English and French.
The school will follow the Montessori methods of teaching when it opens next September.
Dawn McLachlan, who also runs another nursery, says it’ll be something new for the island:
“This style of education engages a child’s natural curiosity with hands-on learning and self-discovery. It provides an opportunity to find out what interests them. Why encourage a child to be average when you can give them the space and freedom to excel in what they are good at and enjoy.”
Parents can visit the Chart Room at Castle Quay from 7pm tonight and Thursday to find out more. You can find out more about the information evenings here.
