Beaulieu Students Complete Cancelled School Walk For Charity

A group of Beaulieu students have raised more than £1700 for Jersey Hospice Care by completing their cancelled school walk.

It was called off because of the coronavirus pandemic - but that didn't put off Kathryn, Niamh, Libby and Clara who finished the 25-mile challenge over the weekend.

They started from West Park and walked to L'Etacq and back whilst maintaining social distancing.

Libby explains how it went and why they chose Jersey Hospice Care.

"It was exhausting! There were a few tears and it was a bit emotional but in the end, we all did it together and we were a good team!

"We just really knew that they (Jersey Hospice Care) were struggling and everyone knows about Hospice and is affected in some way. We just wanted to help one of our local charities out."

"We're all proud of ourselves. We all think we did a really good job and I'm proud of Niamh, Clara and Kathryn. We all came through together."
