20 sports and wellbeing activities at free festival

After a summer of sports, people in Jersey are being encouraged to try something new to keep moving.

Sport for Alll dedicates itself to getting people of all ages to explore new sports and well-being techniques to stay healthy.

20 different activities are being showcased at Grainville School from 10.00 am until 5.00 pm at the free festival on Bank Holiday Monday (26 August)

Islanders are invited to see a range of demonstrations from petanque to pilates and padel to breathwork.

Serena Guthrie, former England Roses Captain, says their mission with Sport for ALLL is simple.

"We want to create a safe and inclusive environment so that anyone who wants to, can participate in sport, and reap the rewards a healthy and active lifestyle can bring."

Jersey Sport is serious when it says there is everything for everyone, with a toddler play area for parents and carers to join in and be active with their babies and toddlers up to the age of three.

Serena continues to say they are really excited to see the vision come to life:

"As an island, we are lucky to have so many incredible opportunities out there, we're just bringing as many of them as we can together, in one place, for everyone to try out."

Parking is available at Grainville or Highlands College, or Liberty Bus will be putting on a shuttle from Stand O at the bus station to the venue every hour on the hour.
