Jersey's Cineworld will no longer reopen this month as planned.
However, it has been postponed because Cineworld says 'it is not viable to operate'.
In a statement to Channel 103, Cineworld says:
"Unfortunately, due to new government restrictions which have been introduced in Jersey, Cineworld will no longer be able to re-open there on August 26th as planned - as it is not viable for us to operate. We apologise for the inconvenience but look forward to re-opening the cinema for our valued customers when restrictions are eased."
It's the second time that a reopening date was announced and then cancelled. Several Cineworld sites across England reopened on 31 July, with Wales sites back open on 14 August and Ireland and Scotland set to follow on 26 August.
The government said in the move to Level one said people can visit venues like libraries, museums, galleries, theatres and arcades - with facilities deciding if they can open and introduce changes to provide a safe environment.
