A Guernsey Island Games volunteer has decorated the front of his home with flags and other items to welcome the Isle of Man team.
Dave Harry has a special display outside his Jerbourg Road home, showing support for the Isle of Man's Island Game team.
A Manx flag, Guernsey bunting, and St Martins parish symbols are hung side by side, with a "Good luck" banner featuring Manx Gaelic (the team's local language) and Guernesiais.
Other symbols of the visiting island can be seen, such as a poster of cyclist Mark Cavendish, a Manx cat, and a fairy bridge from Manx folklore.
Mr Harry explains why he has chosen to welcome a rival team:
"I thought it was a good idea to do something for the Isle of Man because they are staying just 500 yards down the road.
Even though the competitors are rivals to us in many events it doesn't mean to say that we can't be friendly towards them - it's the spirit of sport."
The IOM team will be staying at Hotel Jerbourg during next week's competition. The Isle of Man has the third-highest number of athletes with 218.
