It will be cheaper to send a parcel from Guernsey to the UK next year.
The cost of a standard parcel to the UK will either drop in price or stay frozen at its current rate.
The biggest price change is for a parcel weighing 30kg or more, which is dropping in price by 50%.
A new 1.5kg weight category has also been introduced to 'offer better value for customers'.
Guernsey Post CEO Boley Smillie explains how the changes in price have been funded.
"The restructure of our tariffs has been very much designed to reflect the way in which customers are now using our services.
Standard parcel rates to the UK will either reduce in price or remain frozen and that will be funded by a combination of internal efficiencies and the extra revenue we raise from an increase in the price of letters."
In addition to these price reductions, a £5 cap has been introduced on the cost of returning a parcel to UK based retailers who do not offer free returns.
The only increase being made is to the cost of sending a letter to the UK which will now set you back £1.20, 5p less than the same service offered by Royal Mail.
The new pricing comes into effect from 3 January 2024.
