RPI is now 5.3%, which is 2% lower than in June 2023, and 0.5% lower than in March 2024.
Inflation in Guernsey has been gradually falling away from a peak of 8.5% in December 2022.
Despite this, twelve of the fourteen RPI groups saw a price increase in the three months ending in June 2024.
Costs associated with travel went up by the biggest margin, 3%. This includes hire car charges, air fares and sea fares.
Food, which was a key driver of inflation in Britain and Guernsey, increased by 0.6%. Meat, olive oil and cereals are among those with higher prices. Spreadable butter, bananas and lettuce are examples of items where there were price reductions.

Jersey's inflation rate is currently 5.7%, but a new figure is due out tomorrow (24 July).
