Guernsey’s Alastair Chalmers is heading to the Paris Olympics.
His route to the games comes after winning the 400m Hurdles at the UK Championships and being crowned British Champion for a 5th consecutive year.
Ala was initially disqualified from the final but raced under appeal and ran a time of 48.54 seconds which is under the Olympic qualifying time.
His appeal was upheld and he was reinstated meaning he was crowned champion and the time stood, gaining his qualification for Paris 2024.
He becomes the second Bailiwick person to qualify for this years Olympics after dressage rider Sark’s Carl Hester was confirmed last week.
