Guernsey has 7 Golds, 1 Silver and 4 Bronze medals after a blistering first day as hosts of the 2023 Island Games.
Guernsey had a superb start to the Games with golds in both the men's and women's individual triathlon.
Josh Lewis was first home for Guernsey after an impressive swim and a strong bike ride, although he lost a little of his advantage from the swim during the transition.
Guernsey's women dominated the triathlon with gold for Megan Chapple and bronze for Amy Critchlow. This meant they took the team gold too.
Amy says the race was so intense she had to check she'd got third place:
"I had a quick look round to see if I needed to do any sprinting and I didn't. At the time of crossing the line I didn't want to count my chickens so I had to ask an official, have I got Bronze, and they said yes, so I then I was like, OK, good."
The haul from triathlon was 3 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze.
Sarah Roe took gold in the 10,000 metres at the athletics and there were 3 golds and 2 bronze in the shooting and a bronze in the tennis.
Guernsey's footballers are through the first round with a 1 nil victory over the Western Isles at the Track. Ross Allen's early second half penalty secured the win, but manager Tony Vance said they should have played better:
"You've got to win your first game. Credit has to go to the Western Isles. They were very strong defensively. We played into their hands to be honest in the first half, and we need to be better than that."
In the women's basketball at the Beau Sejour Dome, Guernsey's women beat the Isle of Man 67-55 to progress in their aim for a medal.
Sark also got off the blocks, winning a team silver in the shooting for the Olympic Trap pair of Nicholas Dewe and Stefan Roberts.
