Guernsey Air Display Moved To June 2024

The 2024 Guernsey air display has been moved to ensure the Red Arrows are booked to fly in their 60th display season.

Guernsey's Air Display traditionally takes place in September.

Normally, the aircraft fly over Guernsey between 11am and 1pm and then move on to Jersey for their display, later in the afternoon.

But the decision has been made to move Guernsey's display to 13 June, despite Jersey's date remaining 12 September 2024.

The event organisers say that the Red Arrows are touring overseas between mid July and September.

The Red Arrows fly over St Ouen's Bay.

Natalie Davidson is the event organiser for The Guernsey Air Display Foundation:

"It’s not the first time we’ve brought the display forward and as the Reds are such a key and popular part of the display it was a pretty easy decision to make.  The Red Arrows will celebrate their 60th display season next year and with a June date, we will be one of the first displays to see the 2024 flying sequence, which changes every year."

Organisers have applied for a number of military aircraft to take part and their participation will be confirmed in spring 2024.

Natalie Davidson says that the more sponsorship money they get, the more aircraft can take part.

The Jersey team say they are aware of the Red Arrows tour and would be disappointed not to have them in the line-up for 2024, but there are no plans to revised the planned display for 2024.
