Forest Primary School Rated 'Good'

Forest Primary School has been rated 'good' across all five categories following a recent Ofsted inspection.

The inspection framework covers Quality of Education, Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal Development and Welfare, Leadership and Management, and Early Years Provision.

Each category is graded either Outstanding, Good, Needs Improvement or Inadequate.

Ofted's report highlights the excellent support teachers offer Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) pupils and the positive attitudes to learning from students.

Inspectors, however, noticed that in some subjects important knowledge that students need to learn and remember is not being identified.

They are recommending that the school clearly outlines the crucial ideas and concepts that are important for pupils to remember.

Forest Primary School Headteacher Paula Sullivan says she is proud of the good results.

"This inspection report is a reflection of our wonderful school community and we are delighted with it. I consider myself incredibly lucky to lead this school with pupils and staff who make me proud.

External inspections are never easy and to receive good ratings in all categories is recognition of what we are doing. I’d like to thank our staff for their dedication, our students for being generally amazing and our wider school community for their support.

We strive for continual improvement and look forward to our future learning journey together."
