ITV primetime TV ad launches marketing campaign to boost awareness of Guernsey as a destination and the sea links provided by Brittany Ferries.
The 30" TV advert premiered during Dancing on Ice on Sunday night (16th February).
It opens with a shot of Shell Beach and ends with the Pea Stacks and Fermain Bay.
The voiceover describes Guernsey as 'a hidden gem in the British Isles.'
Brittany Ferries will run Guernsey's ferry services from 28 March this year.
This is highlighted on both its UK and French websites, with Guernsey featuring prominently. The company estimates this will reach as many as 500,000 people.
Paul Acheson, the commercial director of Brittany Ferries, says they are keen to promote their new schedule: “We are firmly focused on the future and our vision for the next 15 years is clear: to enhance services to Guernsey and offer a seamless travel experience.
"We are leveraging our position within a larger group to promote to UK and France consumers at a key time for booking holidays.
"This is a collaborative effort, as we have partnered with Visit Guernsey on this campaign together with a whole range of other initiatives for showcasing the Island and are also liaising with other trade and industry partners."
Zoe Gosling is the lead marketing officer at Visit Guernsey. “By working so closely with the UK and French marketing teams at Brittany Ferries, we can promote the Bailiwick of Guernsey to a much wider audience."
Brittany Ferries estimate the combined TV, social media and website campaign could reach as many as nine million people.
