Welcome to Strongpoint Corbiere! We invite you to explore this incredible multi-bunker complex, restored to near-original condition.

With construction staring in late 1942, Strongpoint Corbiere formed a key part of the defences of St. Ouen’s Bay and boasted several bunker designs unique to Jersey. The CIOS have refurbished four bunkers within the Strongpoint, which are authentically restored to their original wartime condition, and displays around the site provide first-hand information given by the soldiers who actually served there!
There are four bunkers to explore: the fully restored 5cm M19 automatic mortar bunker, the interconnecting 6-Sch turreted machine gun bunker and adjacent 10.5cm Kanone 2 casement with the original weapon still in situ!
The site gives a ‘working atmosphere’ feel to the visitor and you are allowed to touch and interact with some of the exhibits. Knowledgeable volunteers will be on hand to guide you, along with an audio commentary giving details about the original crew who manned the site.
